This is a Fixed term Contract role for 6 months.Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities -
- Perform assembly, test and rework of sub-assemblies and final assembly of units by following written work instructions, blue prints and schematics.
- Follow process, policies and procedures and accurately complete manufacturing and test documentation as required
- Support and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kaizen events, Cycle Counting, 5S etc.
- Comply with company health, safety and environmental policies.
- Comply with all applicable corporate and regulatory export control and security regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Individual
Skills & Experience -
- Diploma / High school “O” level or equivalent
- With or without experience in a similar role in an engineering/ manufacturing or related industry preferred
- Excellent mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and experience working with small hand tools and electronic test equipment
- English verbal & written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles including Kanban, Cycle counting, 5S
- Basic knowledge of computer applications.
