Job Description
- Maintain records for accounting purposes in accordance with company procedures, including the checking of all invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and Customs regulations.
- Negotiates with carriers, warehouse operators or distribution networks to determine tariffs which should be always in the interests of the company.
- Assist to prepare all import quotes for customers and perform all shipment bookings with carriers
- Involve in the pricing quotation - RFQ
- Ensure that shipments processed are in compliance with the laws and regulations governing for local authority. Responsible for day-to-day smooth running of Import operational activities
- Manage shipments tendered to the company in a timely manner to achieve profitability.
- Establish and manage relationships and rapport with all carriers, forwarders, transporters, warehouse operators, etc.
- Ensure activities carried out are adhering to corporate compliance, global/local policies, and guidelines;
- Manage and maintain the requirements for export documentation in compliance with CBP and other government agencies
- Actively engage in shipments problem solving
- Responsible for the selection and training of team members.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the performance of the teams to ensure optimum team and individual performance;
- Monitoring staffs performance, planning, provide appropriate training appropriate and the control of the service programs to customers
- Responsible for the management of client relationships and ensuring that staff manage any complaints appropriately. Maintaining good customer relationships and monitoring customer feedback to maintain high levels of customer service.
- Able to advise dealers and distributors on policies and operating procedures to ensure the business runs effectively and efficiently.
- Rates negotiate with export carriers, trucking (if any), secure container space protection
- To meet monthly budget volume & revenue•
- Monitoring staff’s performance, planning, provide appropriate training appropriate and the control of the service programs to customers
- Oversee efficient working of employees of import department and manage all communication with customers and vendors.
- Responsible for all customer complaints and provide solution.
Requirement
- Diploma or Bachelor' degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience preferably in Ocean freight forwarding industries
- Good knowledge ofImport freight forwarding in general
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and drive innovation and change
- Able to work under pressure and deal with tight deadlines
- Good team player
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
