• Exercising vital role as Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) to ensure Project Installation/ Construction activities are complying with legal and JM requirement. Supporting SHO on the measures to be taken in the interests of the Legal and JM EHS requirement to Management & all employees;
• Perform daily routine site inspection at all plant area especially related to Project Installation/ Construction to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work and environmental issues are in compliance with JM EHS & legal requirement. Ensure all actions from site inspection are reviewed and followed through till closure;
• Participate in investigation related to any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease and environmental related incident which has happened in the place of work;
• Ensure EHS compliance of i.e. manual handling, working at height, confine space, IH/OH, chemical handling for materials used, received and/or processed at the facility/ project site etc.
• Ensure effective Project EHS-MS implementation at the Project site. Ensure Project method of statement (MOS) and risk assessment implemented effectively at site and all required risk controls are in place prior job execution as per JM requirement (life saving policy (LSP), Take 5, EHS-MS, MTMR etc.). Verify the PTW implementation at site prior, during and after work execution.
• Conduct JM EHS Induction to employees and contractors. Participate in Toolbox Talk with contractors.

Requirements for the role:

• Possess or complete recognised diploma certificate and certificate in any field.
• Have valid Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) competency from DOSH.
• Have knowledge in Manufacturing and Construction fields.
• Able to conduct high quality and detailed Risk Assessment e.g. HIRARC, EAI, JSA/ JHA.
• Have good knowledge on Project EHS Management, Environmental Management, IH/ OH Program, Safe Work Practices program e.g. WAH, LOTO, PTW, manual handling, heavy lifting, working at height, confined space etc., as per JM Group EHS requirement.
• Responsible to operate WWTP efficiently and to avoid production downtime due to WWTP system failure and high level of wastewater.
• Daily and monthly monitor the WWTP operation efficiency by collecting data for critical parameters. Shall be able to provide and present the data as and when necessary, especially for monthly end report.
