Job Summary:

The Education Consultant will play a key role in assisting students with their educational placement needs. This position involves providing personalized counseling services, helping students select appropriate academic programs, and guiding them through the application and admission processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Student Recruitment (On a day-to-day basis)

  • To counsel and assist students to make best-informed decisions
  • To develop and enhance the counselling services
  • To follow up on students’ enquiry / application / acceptance
  • To attend to students and parents feedback, inquiries and complaints in an appropriate and prompt manner and adhere to service standards
  • To maintain student database
  • To handle all office administrative matters

2. Marketing / Events

  • To document and implement local marketing plan / budget
  • To handle and carry out sales and marketing activities / events for both online & offline such as roadshows, education fairs, presentations, direct mailing and activity logistics
  • To promote and market education and institutions
  • To identify new market segments
  • To obtain and update market intelligence
  • To raise profile / awareness of the AUG Brand

3. Public Relations

  • To build excellent relationship with representatives from institutions
  • To develop and maintain relationships with any special groups (i.e.. Student clubs / associations, professional association);
  • To be a liaison person with local partners / sub-agents
  • To visit schools, colleges and universities and build relationship with principles and school counsellors

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Hospitality/ Tourism/ Hotel Management/ Business Studies/ Management/ Marketing/ Commerce or Mass Communication graduates is preferred)
  • Previous experience in the education sector and/or experience with school / university admissions and selection processes is preferred
  • Required Language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese. Candidate must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking in Mandarin
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-motivated individual with a drive to meet and exceed targets
  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and the ability to build lasting relationships
  • A meticulous approach to work, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • A quick learner with effective problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
