Description :

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the store's inventory, ensuring that all materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored, accounted for, and accessible when needed. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records of stock levels, orders, and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, including receiving, issuing, and returning materials.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Ensure all inventory is stored safely and securely, following company procedures.
  • Receiving and Inspecting:
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and damage.
  • Verify the accuracy of shipments by comparing the purchase orders with invoices and packing lists.
  • Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
  • Issuing and Dispatching:
  • Prepare and issue materials, tools, and equipment as per the request of various departments.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of materials to the required locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all issued materials and returned items.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions.
  • Prepare reports on stock levels, shortages, and surplus as required by management.
  • Manage the documentation of any inventory-related incidents or accidents.
  • Store Maintenance:
  • Keep the store area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Implement and maintain a system for proper labeling and storage of all items.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed within the store.
  • Coordination and Communication:
  • Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and transport companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure their material needs are met efficiently.
  • Communicate any stock issues or concerns to the relevant departments promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum SPM or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in inventory management or as a storekeeper.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

Work Environment:

  • The role requires working in a warehouse or store environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
