An inventory assistant plays a crucial role in managing stock levels and ensuring efficient inventory control. Here’s an overview of the typical responsibilities and skills associated with this role:

Responsibilities:

  • Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, track incoming and outgoing stock, and update inventory records.
  • Inventory Audits: Assist in conducting regular inventory counts to reconcile physical stock with recorded inventory.
  • Data Entry: Input and maintain accurate records in inventory management systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Restocking: Coordinate with suppliers and the purchasing department to ensure timely restocking of inventory.
  • Organization: Keep storage areas organized, ensuring products are easily accessible and properly labeled.
  • Reporting: Generate reports on inventory status, including stock shortages, excess inventory, and turnover rates.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming goods for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, purchasing) to align inventory needs with business operations.

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
