We are currently seeking an Account & Tax Assistant to join our team in the Packaging and Containers industry. As an Account & Tax Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting and tax functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers to contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
• Reconciling financial discrepancies and resolving accounting issues
• Examining financial documents and ensuring they are accurate and complete
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax returns
• Supporting the finance team in the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assisting in internal and external audits and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as SQL or AUTOCOUNT
• Knowledge of tax regulations and familiarity with tax software
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive financial information
