Job Summary:
The Billing Clerk is responsible for processing and managing invoices, ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of payments. This role involves maintaining financial records, handling billing inquiries, and collaborating with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Generate, review, and issue invoices to clients or customers. Ensure that all billing information is accurate and reflects the services or products provided.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including billing statements, payment receipts, and customer accounts.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues by working closely with other departments or clients to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
- Data Entry: Enter and update billing information in the accounting or billing system. Ensure that all data entries are accurate and up-to-date.
- Reporting: Prepare and present regular billing reports to management, highlighting any issues or trends in billing or payment processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: SPM, diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in billing, accounting, or a related field is preferred. But fresh graduate are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel) and billing systems.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and records.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, customers, and internal teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve billing discrepancies and customer issues.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
