Description :

LOCATION: KINABALU PARK

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receiving, issuing, and storing goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper stock levels are maintained to meet operational demands.
  • Implement and follow procedures for stock rotation to minimize waste and spoilage.

Receiving and Inspecting Goods:

  • Receive deliveries of supplies and ensure that all items are in good condition and match the purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and condition.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and purchasing department to resolve any issues with deliveries.

Storage and Organization:

  • Store goods and supplies in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Ensure that storage areas are clean, organized, and comply with safety and health regulations.
  • Label and categorize inventory items for easy identification and retrieval.

Issuing Supplies:

  • Issue supplies and materials to various departments as per requests.
  • Maintain records of issued items and ensure that the inventory system is updated accordingly.
  • Coordinate with department heads to forecast and plan for future inventory needs.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions and prepare regular reports on stock levels, usage, and discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reports.
  • Keep records of all documentation related to inventory management, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure that all inventory handling processes comply with the resort/hotel's policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations in the storage and handling of goods.
  • Implement and maintain procedures for the safe and secure storage of all items.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate procurement of goods.
  • Communicate with department heads to understand their inventory needs and provide appropriate support.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or certification in supply chain management or logistics is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a storekeeper, inventory controller, or in a similar role, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Proficient in the use of inventory management software and basic computer applications (MS Office Suite).
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and external suppliers.

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to the storage and handling of goods.
  • Familiarity with the types of materials and supplies commonly used in the hospitality industry.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
  • Capacity to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., cold storage, warm kitchens).
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,800.00 per month
